Shop Hopping!

On Friday Joan and I and some special friends of the store braved the first day of Shop Hop!
Our first stop was at Pages From The Heart...

Hello to MaryJo and Kathy, looking good in their Park Ranger outfits...

Here's the whole gang at the adorable Teddy Bear Picnic Photo Op...Sheila, Laura, Joan, Leslie, Susi, Sue, Dorothy, Gail and Cristina...

Next on to Scrap n Yap...Our dear friends Elizabeth and Shauna are always ready with a warm smile! These are the sweetest girls ever!

Down the road a few miles to Hearts N Crafts...

Their bright and colorful store all decked out for a 'Funky Fiesta'...

We just love Collective Journey...one of our favorites and long time friends of Stamp Your Heart Out...they have the most beautiful store...

Finally our last stop at Wooten's in Ontario...Tracy and her super talented staff always have a fantastic photo op with fun props...don't eat that poison apple Sue!

Think Outside The Book!

These two terrific books are full of inspiring ideas and projects to up-cycle
and re-purpose BOOKS...taking old and outdated discarded books from
thrift stores, yard sales, library sales and flea markets and turning
them into useful and/or decorative art pieces for your home...

It's A Garden Party!

On Saturday we spent the afternoon with Stacey at a 'Garden Party' by 'Pinecone Press'

The demo table is full of the beautiful things she created...


The 'Options' kit has everything you need to make a variety of projects...cards or mini books or scrapbook pages...


Stacey showed how to create the cutest cards...






And these adorable flapbooks...double sided interactive pages that are soooo fun to make!




These would make the perfect gift...or a mini album for your summer adventures!

Beautiful Backgrounds!

Barb has done it again...creating the most beautiful, colorful and unique backgrounds with watercolor, chalks and ink...to highlight her favorite Penny Black floral images...



There is always something to learn from Barb...



She explains how to get a nice even wash of color...


Adding drops of rubbing alcohol on the wet watercolor results in bubbles...


We all thought that was pretty cool!




So many terrific cards samples and ideas...


This is one of my favorites...I love orange!

So pretty!
You have to come in the store and see the beach card in person...chunky embossing powder and glitter looks like sand...wow, I loved learning that technique!
