Cards for the Troops update

Take a look at this...

A huge box of cards that Barb is ready to send off for our Cards for the Troops drive...she has managed to stuff 329 cards in this box which brings our total to date of 508 cards...halfway to our goal of 1,000 cards by the end of December...
From now until the third week of October, we will be collecting general greeting cards, birthday cards and the much needed holiday cards...Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and New Years. Barb is shipping those off on October 20 and we want to see the red bucket in the store overflowing! Thanks so much for your support and generosity...

Lifestyle Crafts Demo Day

We love the 4th Saturday of the month because that is when Ginny demos the lasted release featuring Lifestyle Crafts dies...We saw these dies earlier this month when Theron from Lifestyle Crafts was at the store during Shop Hop...and today Ginny adds her special touch to these must have dies...sets of nesting squares, circles, ovals, rectangles and more...so perfect for cards, tags, scrapbook pages and more...just imagine what you can do with these!

Ginny demos this release of nesting dies with her distinctive style of intricate layering, clever embellishments and just the perfect touch of ribbon accents...Betty, Tina, Bobbie, Pat and Dorothy pay close attention...

Pat, Dorothy, Rebecca, LaVerne, and Remy follow along...

Cute samples Ginny! Love the paper from American Crafts, Echo Park and Canvas Corps...

And we were anxiously waiting for the debut of the August Club die...

This adorable cat! Ginny immediately thought of a halloween project and here is the fabulous result using the August Club Die...a sweet mini book...wouldn't this would make an equally cute card...

We have this sample in the store if you would like to come in a take a closer look...there are some very cute details that don't show up so well on the photo...

We hope you are all staying cool during this late August heatwave...thanks for braving the heat and coming in this weekend...we loved seeing you!

Red Lead Stamps and Nancy

I popped into the store on Sunday and found this cozy little group...who were paying close attention to Nancy's demo...

She featured these adorable stamps from one of our favorite newer companies, 'Red Lead'...

Their size lends them perfectly to greeting cards, tags, and Artist Trading Cards...as well as Nancy's clever boxes, mini albums, and folding cards...Every stamped image is carefully cut out, expertly colored, and glittered beautifully.....

This box is sooo lovely...the detail Nancy adds to her projects always amazes me...She carefully and thoroughly explains each step...

These pictures don't do her projects justice, so please come in a take a closer look at these beautiful creations...

Six Wonderful Years!

It is hard to believe that six years ago this month we started our monthly ATC trade. Under Michele's expert guidance this amazingly fun and creative monthly adventure has grown dramatically over the years...we started with just a few traders and today we host 25 or more in the store for a technique packed demo followed by a rousing trade. Some of our traders come early in the morning and stay all day, enjoying the store, the fellowship of other traders and a nice lunch in the village.

Michele is the 'queen' of the ATC trade and has a lovely crown to prove it!

Michele demos the newest from Graphic 45...'School House Primer. ..wonderful papers, stamps, embellishments and chipboard...

Here are Michele's ATC creations from this fun line...so vintage...lots of layers, embellishments, and bright colors make these ATC cards spectacular...

Let the trading begin!

Our younger traders are Abby and Candace...they make the sweetest ATC's!

Carmen wins a book! Other winners were Joyce and Florentina...

Thanks so much to all traders who make this such a fun day for everyone!

This lovely family from Israel has been coming to Claremont for the last several summers...They have became dear friends to all of us here at Stamp Your Heart Out...
left to right is Sigal, Neri, Lior,Itamar, and Shani...

The Shabtai family is headed back home tomorrow...we certainly will miss you and we hope you have a safe and pleasant journey...see you next summer!

Make n Take Madness

Do you have lots of these on your craft desk right now? Shop Hop Make n Takes...this is a picture of mine, in various stages of completion...oh dear, it looks like I've got some work to do!

Of course it would be much more fun to assemble these pages surrounded by good friends like you...so we would like to invite you to come into the store Wednesday, August 31 at 6:30pm. We'll work on our pages, swap stories and share pictures! Let us know if you can make it and don't forget your tool kit...And Joan has extra pages, bottle caps and a few other treats to give-away...

Earlier this month we were excited to have Theron Anderson, our friend and rep from Lifestyle Crafts, come by and spend the morning with us. He was happy to present the newest release of Nesting Dies, instruct a make n take and answer questions...

Sometimes it really is difficult to decide which one you love the most!

He was also very generous with give-aways, everybody walked away with a free die...
