Mary...Mary...

We have been a huge fan of collage artist, Mary Mata, for years. We just love her beautiful collage packs, vintage image sheets, transparency sheets, ATC kits, and collage kits...all created from her own extensive collection of photographs and vintage ephemera.

So we were thrilled when she was available to fly in from the Bay Area and spend Saturday with us...teaching a class in the morning and demo-ing in the afternoon...We had so much fun!

We cut, glued, stamped, sanded, and embellished our class kits and made two cards, a tag and a trading card...Mary provided tips and techniques to allow our creative side to come out and not be afraid of trying the collage process...Everyone was thrilled with their creations...

We all learned a new image transfer technique using contact paper...

Mary had fun too, and promised to be back to teach more classes...Sign me up!

  1. I was very fortunate to have been in this class. Mary was a great teacher and gave personal attention to anyone who had a question. I loved the transfer technique as well as the 'laminating' technique without the need of a laminator. Thanks Joan!
