Today is National Flag Day. This commemorative day, celebrated on June 14th, recognizes the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened the same day by resolution of the Second Continental Congress in 1777. Then in 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially made June 14th, Flag Day and was further established in 1949 by an Act of Congress...
